This Durga Yantra is made with 1/4" birch plywood that is laser cut, wood stained, glued then finished with a light clear coat. There is a custom wooden hanger on the back for easy hanging with a small nail or screw.

Durga was created as a warrior goddess to fight the demon Mahisashur who could not be defeated by God or man. Allegorically, she slays the damaging misconceptions we hold, offering us clarity of mind and spirit. The Durga Yantra assists in the focus upon the qualities of Durga, facilitating strength, feminine energy, creative consciousness.
NOTE: There has been some debate as to which way is right side up on this Durga Yantra. I have been taught, the way I have it is the correct way (the way it is pictured). Others state it should be the other way around. I was taught that the three primary triangles are descending. Those three primary triangles symbolize the Tridevi (Kali, Lakshmi, and Saraswati) and/or desire, action, and knowledge. The center descending triangle symbolizes the yoni. The larger ascending triangle symbolizes the lingam. However, I am always open to knowledge and a better understanding of the art I create. I would be grateful for any further education on the matter (send me a message). As an additional note, I will provide a hanger on both ends of this Durga Yantra. You may hang this yanta whichever way suits your needs. Brian
